The Ningaloo Whaleshark Festival is on this year from Thursday, May 4 to Sunday, May 7.
This community organised festival highlights Ningaloo's relationship with the yearly visitation of the world's largest fish, the whaleshark.
The festival includes entertainment displays, workshops, boating and car shows, celebrities, exhibits, photographic and art competitions showcasing the magnificent Whaleshark, also some extreme sports displays.

The NHS in the UK informed me that our medical records would be sent back to the NHS until and if we return. Their view was that they didn't think that there would be any need for us to take them with us.

Western Australia has officially secured the biggest surf lifesaving event of its kind - the Surf Life Saving Australian Championships - for three years from 2007 to 2009.
The Surf Life Saving Australian Championships will be held on Scarborough Beach on March 20-25, 2007.
The event is the biggest of its kind in the world, with about 8,000 competitors expected to flock to Perth and a further 100,000 spectators anticipated.
The Australian Masters Surf Life Saving Championships from March 20-21, 2007 would precede the championships.
Tourism Minister, Sheila McHale said "The event gives WA a fantastic chance to show off the beaches, weather, rich culture and friendliness for which we are renowned."
