Kids Services at Your Local Library
Libraries provide a great selection of children's books, Music CD's, DVD's and magazines.
They help children's educational development with exciting games and books aimed to inspire children to learn and grow.
0-2 Years
You can enrol your baby in your local library from the day that they are born. Many libraries provide a great selection of music CD's and board books, Leap Pad Readers, Parent-Baby Workshops and Baby Story Times.
3-5 Years
Leap Pad Readers are easy to use and are available at no charge to library members. The readers and accompanying software need to be booked out by an adult.
Take a look at the toys in the children's section, they are selected to stimulate social skills and develop strong coordination which all helps to enhance literacy.
6-8 Years
There are a selection of role play items to encourage your child to use their imaginations and improvise.

Junior Reference items like books to help with school projects are always available and there is also the Homework Collection, a "not-for-loan" collection of books. Children are encouraged to bring writing materials, paper and money for photocopying (20c per sheet) when they use the Homework Collection.
9-12 Years

Online resources include Britannica Online and Webster's World.
"Your Tutor" is a real-time online tutoring assistance package for all core subjects from year 4 to the first year of university and is available free of charge.
School Holiday Programs
Activities for pre-primary to year 7 children are held every school break.
Story Time Sessions
Story time sessions are held regularly each week. Sessions aim to provide both parents and children with opportunities to engage in positive reading environments. Story Times are all free.
At Story Time your child will be encouraged to enjoy their reading through songs and rhymes, role-play and action based activities.
Homework Help
Online tutoring services are available for one-to-one instantaneous tutoring in core subjects with a professional tutor via the internet from home. The service covers the following subjects; Maths, Science, English and Assignment Research.
The service caters for questions from Year 4 to Year 12 from Monday to Friday 4pm to 8pm.
