What Do You Think Of The New Perth Arena Design?

Clicking around on PerthNow, I spotted a picture that I really didn't like the look of...imagine my suprise when it turned out to be an artists impression of the newly planned "Perth Arena"!
I have to say that I think it's really ugly!
Let's hope that the other newly announced stadium to be built on the existing Subiaco Oval will be a better looker.
Please feel free to leave a comment below on what you think of the Perth Arena design....good, bad, indifferent?
Coming from a design background, I have to agree with you. It looks piece-mailed and very dated and I think it's an awful design for such a prominent, downtown main attraction. They should take a page out of the notebook from those that designed the bell tower and the Freo Maritime Museum. Those buildings are much more easier on the eye than this monstrosity! I hope they listen to public opinion on this one!

I agree, it looks like boxes stuck together, horrible!
Is there going to be an opportunity for the public to veto this design?
