The Christmas Lights were turned on by Santa in the city on Friday night.

After a half hour stage show of Old McDonalds Farm that had the young children dancing and clapping, the actual turning on of the lights happened during a cloud burst that saw many of the crowd soaked through. It didn't stop the confetti and streamer guns firing off and everyone enjoying the atmosphere though!

The next Christmas activities in the City will be the Santa Train, Nativity Play and the Christmas Pageant.
