Enviromental Issues Hit Australia
Australia has decided to invest more than $200 million in protecting the worlds forests in a bid to tackle illegal logging and global warming but experts are saying that it won't make any difference without a signature on the Kyoto Protocol.
Meanwhile in WA, a tiny creature only 4mm long has stopped a planned $10billion new mine for Rio Tinto. The troglobites are tiny cave-dwelling creature which resemble spiders.
Also in WA but this time in the unique south west corner global warming is being blamed for lower rainfalls for the past 50 years.
