Mistaken Ad-dentity

Have you seen the Cadbury's chocolate ad with the gorilla playing the drums to Phil Collins' "In The Air Tonight"?

Absolutely nothing to do with chocolate but it certainly sticks in your brain and I quite liked it.

Until, that is, someone had to mess around with it.

I saw the ad again a couple of nights ago and started to wonder why the music had changed.

Husband came into the room, I mentioned this to him and we thought that it was an updated ad and that maybe the gorilla was going to play the drums over a series of ads to different tracks. But if you watch closely the gorilla isn't in time to the drums on the new soundtrack and he was on the original.

Then we both cottoned on. They've changed the soundtrack to John Farnham's Your The Voice. Why? Because he's AUSTRALIAN. Obviously Phil Collins is no good and John Farnham is a God.

For goodness sake, not everything has to be Australian. Next time you have to mess around with something at least get the picture and the soundtrack in sync with each other. Or better still, leave well alone!

Last Week with Bjorn Again

What a great night was had by all last Friday when Bjorn Again were at Kings Park.

Apart from the occasional spattering of rain and the spilling of wine on picnic blankets because of the incline we had a wonderful time.

I say we but of course I meant all 26 of us. That's what happens when you mention "what about going to see Bjorn Again" in the school yard. It kind of snowballs rapidly around until you're known not as Jacob's Mum, as is my usual name tag now, but as the person who's organising THE TRIP.

Bjorn Again were brilliant and so were the BeeGee's tribute band beforehand (although I have to admit that I do prefer the Steps version of "Tragedy"!!!) but the mode of transport that we used was absolute class.

If you ever want to hire a bus with the most gorgeous drivers in the world ever, then you need to check out the "Wild Knights". Bench seating around the walls of the bus makes for very interesting conversation on the way and even more interesting dancing techniques on the way back. And in the dark it really comes into it's own with a glitter ball, flashing lights and an excellent sound system. Put it this way, the party continued all the way up the freeway and around the northern suburbs.

So apologies to everyone who woke up between 11pm and midnight to Waterloo and other various ABBA songs blareing out, and thought they were dreaming, you weren't.
